Kids Summer Camp 2024

Classes are five consecutive days. Each class is two hours (8-10 am or 12-2 pm). Each student cooks individually at their own cooktop and prep station. No group cooking here! Every day, campers will eat what they've prepared, and usually have leftovers to take home!


Level 1 Culinary Academy

In this 5-day Culinary Academy, students are introduced, hands-on, to all the aspects of the kitchen. They'll learn about kitchen equipment, safety, knife skills, and hygiene. Then the real fun begins as each camper will make their own foods like pizza, tacos, and fabulous French toast. We'll have a day of flavor dynamics where we focus on tasting and understanding the foundations of flavor. On the last day things heat up with a Secret Ingredient Competition!

Level 2 Culinary Academy (Students should have taken Level 1 or be experienced in the kitchen)
This Level 2 Culinary Academy is a 5-day camp for students who already have some kitchen confidence and want to up their game.  We will focus on techniques and skills that students can use in all of their cooking, not just when making these recipes. Recipes included homemade ravioli, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Chicken Parmesan and Strawberry Shortcake. Each day has a new menu and new techniques to learn. Students will do everything from start to finish and eat what they prepare. On the final day, the Secret Ingredient Competition challenges students skills, knowledge, and creativity!

Level 3 Culinary Academy**
Dumplings, Dumplings, Dumplings(Students should have taken Level  1 or 2 or be experienced in the kitchen)
This five-day culinary camp is for more experienced campers want to take a deep dive into the art of making dumplings. Each day will consist of making dumping wrappers from scratch, filling and cooking enough for a meal as well as extra to take home uncooked to share with the family. Students will make different dumplings representing different cuisines each day. On the last day things heat up with a Secret Ingredient Competition!

Baking Fundamentals*

This five day camp will teach the fundamentals of baking. From properly measuring wet and dry ingredients to kneading and baking bread dough this class will give the young baker a head start in the kitchen. Students will learn to make dinner rolls, pie crust, puff pastries and more. On the final day, the Secret Ingredient Competition challenges students skills, knowledge, and creativity!

**Level 3 Class is not appropriate for inexperienced cooks
and is restricted to Ages 11-16,
unless both Level 1 & 2 Culinary Camps have been completed.
