At The Learning Kitchen, we teach Hands-On, chef-led cooking classes. The right candidate must have back-of-house restaurant experience.

Some of the specific duties include:

·       Gathering and measuring recipe ingredients

·       Basic food preparation (for example, baking potatoes, dicing chicken, making croutons)

·       Welcoming guests to class and serving beer and wine during class

·       Cleaning the kitchen cooktops and countertop

·       Washing cooking utensils, pans, and dishes in a commercial dishwasher

·       Rarely required to lift up to 30 pounds

·       Other duties as assigned

A typical shift runs like this:

·      2.5 hours before class: setting up classroom cook stations, gathering and measuring ingredients, basic food prep

·      2 hours during class: serving guests beer/wine, collecting pans, utensils, and dishes as they become available

·      2-3 hours following class: clear and clean cooking classroom

Compensation is based on experience.

Available Shift:

• Monday - Friday: 3:00 PM - 9:30 PM
• Saturday: 2:00 PM - 8:30 PM
• Occasional M-S day shifts 8:30 AM-2:30 PM
