Job Description : The Learning Kitchen in West Chester, OH is looking for a teaching Chef to join our team.
The Learning Kitchen is Greater Cincinnati's premier cooking class destination. Our State-of-the-Art Kitchens were designed around our educational cooking classes and our take on cooking is simple: it should be easy, fun, and delicious.
Our ideal candidate will have solid culinary skills, an engaging personality, and the ability to teach children or adults in our hands-on cooking classes.

For example, in our Homemade Pasta class, you'll demonstrate how to make the dough and use the pasta machine to make noodles, but you would only talk the class through how to prepare the sauce and cook the noodles.
- Menus, recipes, and a class flow (detailing what you will teach) are provided in advance of class.
- Arrive 1 hour before class to review the class set-up, recipes, and flow, greet customers as they arrive, and assist with serving drinks.
- Classes are 2 hours. It's not required, but if you choose to remain after class and answer questions about retail items, you'll receive a commission on items you sell.
- Classes have up to 15 students or 9 couples.
Scheduling
- Teach 2 to 8 classes per month, based on your availability.
- Arrive at 5 pm for M-F classes, 4 pm for Sat evening class. (3 hours total)
- Occasional weekday lunchtime classes may become available.

- Ability to teach basic through advanced cooking techniques in a hands-on class setting; previous teaching experience is a plus.
- An engaging, inspiring, entertaining, and fun personality is required; a sense of humor is a plus!
Compensation
- $90 instructional fee plus tips and/or commission on retail sales.
