Pickling and Canning Featuring Tiffany Metz

In this class you have the opportunity to pickle and preserve some typical....and not so typical items. Then we'll prepare a delicious meal centered around the foods that you pickled in class beginning with a summer cocktail and salad, followed by a delicious Pork Chop dinner and sides!

Ever find yourself with an abundance of a particular item in your fridge and not know what to do with it? Or stumble on a bin of bargain produce but not sure what to make with it? Than this class will give you some inspiration and show you just how easy preserving can be. In addition to being able to take home everything that you pickle in class, we'll also prepare a whole meal centered around using the items you pickled in class.

Chef Instructor: Tiffany Metz

Tiffany has been pickling and preserving food since her childhood learning from both her mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her time spent in the kitchen with them so much that she continues these traditions to this day with her own son. Tiffany maintains her own garden in Indiana where she grows most of the items she pickles and cans. She is happy to be able to pass on the things that she has learned and hoped that she can teach the joy of home canning to many others.
