NEW CLASS! Holy Crêpe, It’s a French Pancake Class!


The direct translation of crêpe may be pancake, but crêpes are nothing like the fluffy American breakfast favorite. These delicate, paper-thin creations are soft and supple with crisp, lacy edges, perfect for wrapping up sweet or savory fillings. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn to make two traditional batters: a nutty Buckwheat Crêpe for savory dishes and a lighter Sweet Vanilla-scented Crêpe for dessert.

We’ll start with the Crêpe Complète, a French café favorite filled with Prosciutto, melty Urban Stead Gouda (a local award-winning cheesemaker!), and a Sunny Side Up Egg, topped with a dollop of Dijon Crème Fraîche and a sprinkle of Fresh Chives. On the side, we’ll prepare a simple Frisée Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette to balance the richness.

For dessert, you’ll whip up the showpiece Crêpe Suzette, folded into an Orange-Butter Glaze with a touch of Grand Marnier. We’ll finish with a light and refreshing Lemon Honey Quark Crêpe, topped with Berries and Toasted Almonds.

A minimum 48-hour notice via email (info@thelearningkitchen.com) is required for  rescheduling. A minimum 7-day notice via email is required for rescheduling reservations of four or more guests. If you are unable to attend a class, you are encouraged to send someone in your place. We cannot make exceptions.

Our recipes use common ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction we should be aware of, please call or email before attending class. We may or may not be able to accommodate.
