Date Night: Italian Steakhouse Masterclass



In this hands-on Date Night class, you and your cooking partner will make a full Italian steakhouse-style menu from start to finish—fresh pasta, a great steak, and a few simple sides that make the whole meal feel complete.

We’ll start with an Arugula, Prosciutto & Burrata Salad with Melon and a quick White Balsamic Vinaigrette, served with Toasted Baguette for scooping up the burrata.


Next, you’ll roll up your sleeves for Fresh Pasta, then learn how to fill and shape Lobster Agnolotti. It's a restaurant-worthy pasta that’s easier than it looks once you know the method. You’ll finish it with a silky Tarragon Cream Sauce built the classic way: shallots, garlic, white wine reduction, and just enough parmesan to bring it all together.

For the main event, you’ll cook a beautiful Filet Mignon and learn the secrets of the Reverse Sear Method for a steak that’s evenly cooked with a perfect crust. On the side: Roasted Broccolini with Lemon Garlic Vinaigrette and a crunchy, Garlicky Panko Pangrattato topping for that final steakhouse-level finish.

  • Pasta dough mixing, kneading, resting, rolling
  • Filling + shaping agnolotti
  • Building a pan sauce (reduction + finishing with cream/cheese)
  • Emulsifying vinaigrettes
  • Roasting vegetables + finishing with pangrattato
  • Reverse searing + achieving a great crust
  • Knife skills, seasoning, plating


All sales are final. A minimum 48-hour notice via email (info@thelearningkitchen.com) is required for  rescheduling. A minimum 7-day notice via email is required for rescheduling reservations of four or more guests. If you are unable to attend a class, you are encouraged to send someone in your place. We cannot make exceptions.

Our recipes use common ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction we should be aware of, please call or email before attending class. We may or may not be able to accommodate.
