Date Night: Fish Masterclass: Three Fish, Three Ways



Cooking fish doesn’t have to be intimidating and in this class, we’ll show you why. In Fish Masterclass: Three Fish, Three Ways, you’ll learn how to cook three different types of fish using three classic techniques that you can take straight home to your own kitchen.

We’ll start with Crispy-Skin Pan-Seared Salmon, focusing on heat control, timing, and how to get great texture without overcooking. It will sit atop a bed of Mixed Greens and finished with a rich Saffron Hollandaise, giving you hands-on practice with one of the most useful classic sauces.

Next, you’ll Roast Halibut with Lemon Herb Butter, learning how to keep delicate fish moist and flavorful, and serve it alongside Creamy Herbed Polenta for a simple, elegant pairing.

To finish, you’ll make Mediterranean Swordfish en Papillote, a parchment-wrapped method that gently steams the fish with Cherry Tomatoes, Olives, Capers, and Herbs — an easy, impressive technique that’s nearly foolproof.

Along the way, your chef will share practical tips on choosing fish, seasoning properly, and knowing exactly when it’s done. You’ll leave with real confidence, a few go-to techniques, and a new appreciation for cooking fish at home.

A minimum 48-hour notice via email (info@thelearningkitchen.com) is required for  rescheduling. A minimum 7-day notice via email is required for rescheduling reservations of four or more guests. If you are unable to attend a class, you are encouraged to send someone in your place. We cannot make exceptions.

Our recipes use common ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction we should be aware of, please call or email before attending class. We may or may not be able to accommodate.
