Date Night: The German Table: Schnitzel & Spaetzle
Travel to the heart of Germany without leaving the kitchen! In this hands-on class, you'll learn to prepare a delicious and hearty meal featuring authentic German flavors and techniques.
We’ll begin with a crisp and refreshing Apple and Cabbage Salad, dressed in a tangy mustard vinaigrette. This light, flavorful starter sets the tone for the hearty meal to come.
Next, you’ll pound and bread pork cutlets to make authentic Pork Schnitzel, pan-fried until golden and served with a wedge of lemon.
On the side, we’ll make buttery, cheesy Käsespätzle—Germany’s answer to mac and cheese—topped with sweet caramelized onions. Rounding out the plate are classic German Green Beans with Bacon and Onion, bringing smoky, savory balance to the meal.
You’ll go home with new skills, full bellies, and recipes you’ll want to make again and again.

All sales are final. A minimum 48-hour notice via email (info@thelearningkitchen.com) is required for rescheduling. A minimum 7-day notice via email is required for rescheduling reservations of four or more guests. If you are unable to attend a class, you are encouraged to send someone in your place. We cannot make exceptions.
Our recipes use common ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction we should be aware of, please call or email before attending class. We may or may not be able to accommodate.
