Date Night: Steak & Porcini Mushroom Sauce
Porcini mushrooms are some of the most flavorful mushrooms out there, and we'll use them to make a rich luscious sauce to top our NY Strip steaks. With sides of a garden fresh salad with homemade dressing, herb-roasted potatoes and green beans almondine, this becomes a well-rounded meal.
We'll marinate the steak in red wine and garlic, then add a ton of deep complex flavor by searing it and using the fond left in the pan to make the mushroom sauce. This is some serious umami. Nothing goes better with a nice steak than a pile of roasted potatoes, and we're sure we can convince you that green beans almondine are worth it!

Our recipes use common ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction we should be aware of, please call or email before attending the class. We may or may not be able to accommodate.
All sales are final. A minimum 48-hour notice via email (info@thelearningkitchen.com) is required for class rescheduling. A minimum 7-day notice via phone or in-person is required for class cancellations or rescheduling for reservation of four or more guests. If you are unable to attend a class, you are encouraged to send someone in your place. We cannot make exceptions.
