From the moment The Learning Kitchen was born, we knew we wanted our cooking classes to be different from others in the Cincinnati, OH area. Each month we offer a class calendar for cooks of all skill levels, using seasonal foods that are locally grown when possible.
Hands-On Cooking Classes
Our hands-on classes are truly hands-on, you'll cook at your own cooktop and eat all you cook...no group cooking here!
The center of our kitchen is a cooking island equipped with 12 student stations and an instructor's station. Each student has two burners, pots and pans and all the tools needed to cook the day's menu.
Our teaching chefs don't just tell you how to cook, you actually learn the techniques and recipes by cooking your own meal. From chopping the onion to sautéing the chicken to cutting the phyllo, you'll get to do it all—which really is the best way to learn. When the meal is complete, everyone gathers around the dining table to enjoy what they've created. All students receive copies of the day's recipes to take home.

An Evening in Charleston This class will feature all of the down south flavors of the Carolina Low Country. When they talk about southern comfort, this is what they mean. It's a dish that will fill you up and leave you satisfied for hours.
Authentic Chinese: Super Stir Fries The second class in the "Authentic China" series was developed by Chef Timmy Kirk, who lived and worked in China for 5 years. This class covers Chinese Stir-Fries. You'll learn the proper techniques for a successful stir-fry.
Chicken Fajitas Done Right Making your own Fajitas from scratch, including the ever-important seasoning mix is a skill that you'll use over and over - these are sure to be requested in your house regularly.
Greek Chicken Gyros, Flatbread, & Tzatziki Mediterranean food is so enticing, and nothing beats the drama of freshly made bread. In this class you'll make a Greek salad with a vinaigrette, marinated chicken, handmade flatbread, and everybody's favorite... tzatziki sauce!
South American Summer South American food combines bold flavors and comfort food. It's going to be a busy one as we cook four South American dishes that make an awesome summer meal. Tostones, Beef Skirt Steak, Grilled Corn Elotes, and Frijoles Negras are all on the menu.
Summer Bistro in France Imagine yourself sitting on a patio in the French country-side, sipping wine, with the wonderful aromas of a home-cooked meal wafting out of the kitchen. This is the feel you'll get when you eat this meal.
